Isochronic Tones with Gratitude Affirmations

A video on isochronic tones affirming gratefulness

The following video is a 10hz isochronic beat with gratitude affirmations. The high frequency carrier alpha isochronic beat is combined with a low frequency delta monaural beat to bring you to the powerful alpha state of mind. Read the post on Harnessing the Power of Your Alpha Brainwave State.

The affirmations start after approximately 6 minutes within which your brainwaves are most likely pulsating at the powerful alpha state of mind.

Having a grateful heart attracts more positive energy to your life. Always be grateful of the positive things or events you may encounter in life no matter how small. You can do that during your beta state of mind (fully awake state) but doing it during the alpha state is much more effective.

Isochronic Tones Healing Video

Below is a video for an isochronic tones in the mid alpha waves frequency. Solfeggio tones are incorporated in the later part to further assist in the healing of the physical, spiritual and emotional body. It is only 6 minutes so you may need to create a playlist at youtube to get a longer brainwave entrainment.

A downloadable version in the 'wav' format is available at the brainwave entrainment blog. You can also learn some background information in how to use this isochronic tone effectively.

Isochronic Tones vs Binaural Beats

Does isochronic tones reign in superiority compared to binaural beats in terms of brainwave entrainment? There are mixed opinions with regards to the effectivity of both technologies. Others prefer isochronic tones while others are more comfortable with binaural beats.

To guide you with your decision in what to purchase, here are some pros and cons.

Headphones

Isochronic tones does not require the use of headphones since both speakers emit the same tones. Binaural beats on the other hand required the use of headphones because each speaker emits different frequencie and the brain 'hears' the difference between the two frequencies. Binaural beats cannot give you the brainwave entrainment you need if you do not use headphones.

Waveforms

The waveforms of isochronic tones are very distinct because the tone and silence are of equal duration making the target frequency very distinguishable. Binaural beats does not alternate to a silence level but only dips a little to a lower volume.

Which is more pleasant to listen to?

Isochronic tones emits a constant 'toot toot' while binaural beats sounds like a hum. There are people who are annoyed by the 'toot toot' so they prefer binaural beats.

I've tried both technologies but isochronic tones gives me a faster entrainment whereas binaural beats takes me a longer time before I reach the target frequency. Others experience the opposite.

How do you know that your brain are entrained?

When I do an alpha or a theta session, I yawn when I dip to the lower brainwave. Yawning is an indication that your brain is relaxing.

How about you? What do you prefer? If you haven't tried brainwave entrainment yet, download your free 10 minute samples of isochronic tones and binaural beats so that you can try them out before buying products for your specific needs such as lucid dreaming, astral traval, meditation, hypnotism, etc.which the Unexplainable Store has a wide array of.

Feel free to comment regarding your experience. Enjoy and be empowered!

How to Listen to Isochronic Tones

Aside from a faster achievement of brainwave entrainment, listening to isochronic tones does not require the use of headphones unlike the more popular binaural beats. You can play it to your desktop speakers or speakers from your home entertainment system. This type of listening though has its disadvantages since external noise can compete with your isochronic tones; engine roar of a passing automobile,  the sound of power tools nearby, etc. These external noises can get you unfocused and may hinder the brainwave entrainment session.

Even though it is not a requirement, I prefer to use headphones so that I get my full attention in listening to isochronic tones thereby accelerating the speed of reaching the entrainment frequency.

How loud should it be?

A good guideline is to set your player to the highest volume that your ear is comfortable with. There should not be any discomfort or pain in your ear while listening to isochronic tones. This should minimize the distraction from external noises. You can achieve entrainment even with low volumes since the beats of these tones are very distinct unlike binaural beats and higher volumes can achieve faster entrainments. Just remember that comfort to your ears is of utmost importance.

Is it important to close your eyes?

Yes it's better to close your eyes when you are entraining at alpha and below so as to eliminate visual stimuli.

Watching a repetitive video can also bring you a faster entrainment such as this alpha brainwave entrainment isochronic tones video.

You can close your eyes if they become heavy and let the isochronic tones take care of the rest of your brainwave entrainment session.

What should you think about?

As with meditation, you need to subdue the mental chatter: those thoughts between your conscious mind and subconscious mind. You may not know or notice it but there are lot of things going on in your mind even though you may not be fully conscious of it. Stop whatever you are doing for several seconds and try to listen to what's going on in your mind, A lot right? Thoughts about worries, fears, relationships, etc.. are always competing with each other for attention. A majority of these thoughts are negative in nature and being so can induce stress in your body thereby draining you of energy.

To focus your mind on only one thought, say an image of an apple, is one technique to subdue the mental chatter. If you notice you mind drifting away from the apple, you can consciously go right back to it. This technique may sound tiresome due to the fact that you are concentrating on something, the fact is it requires less energy to consciously think of only one thing than to unconsciously think of many things. The problem with tthis technique is that not everybody is good at imagining an image. This is where isochronic tones are better because all you have to focus on are the tones which can and effectively eliminate the mental chatter aside from entraining your brainwaves to a target frequency.

Entraining to brainwave frequencies in alpha, theta and delta takes you more to your unconscious mind and lessens your conscious awareness. What goes in your unconscious mind can be influenced by the dominant thoughts of your mind before the entrainment. The same is true before going to sleep. It is evident in your dreams, if you have intense thoughts about a specific matter whether it's negative or positive just before going to sleep, your dreams may reflect similar emotions.

I strongly suggest that you bring yourself to a higher vibration before a brainwave entrainment session. By higher vibration, I mean positive emotions such as love, joy and peace. Remember those times when you were elated, in love or happy - bring those emotions to the present and you'll surely reap the benefits for the entrainment at lower brainwave frequencies.

That's all you need for now if this is your first time in brainwave entrainment. Later on I'll post topics on attracting what you want in life using isochronic tones as a vehicle for it's attainment and manifestation.

HOW TO MAKE OR CREATE ISOCHRONIC TONES - START HERE

Making or creating isochronic tones is easy if you have the right tools. The first thing you need is an audio editor software. there are audio editors which can generate tones and others can't.  What we need is the one which can generate tones. If you don't have one yet, there's a free audio editor called audacity which you can download at:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

As of this writing there are two versions available. Download version 1.2.6 as it will be the version I will be using. The other version is still in beta and there are some aspects that aren't suitable for our purpose.

Once you have downloaded the installation files, install the software and explore it. Try opening audio files to see the waveforms. Explore the cut/copy and paste functions as we will be doing a lot of it in my next post.

We'll be using audacity for our projects. If you have another audio editing software which can generate tones, you can still follow the projects and just use the equivalent procedures for your software.

PURPOSE OF CREATING ISOCHRONIC TONES

Why do we want to create isochronic tones? As you may have already read about brainwave entrainment, it is a way of making our brains generate a desired brainwave pattern which produces in our body and mind the benefits or "un-benefits" of that specific brainwave pattern. I would like to emphasize this early on to experiment only with frequencies which are mentioned in this website and other websites which have been tested and which have been known to do good for your mind and body.  Please see disclaimer below this page.

The goal of this website is to use, create or make isochronic tones to improve your well being. For example if you have a stressful daily routine, you can use isochronic tones to help you relax and keep in check the stress hormones (which may be harmful in the long run) which runs in your body. You may also want to access your deeper levels of mind that can enhance your creativity, attract what you want in your life - be it wealth, the girl of your dream, a house, a car, health, etc..

Many brainwave entrainment products which incorporate isochronic tones have been made. This website does not challenge the effectiveness of those products. They have been carefully researched and engineered to bring the utmost benefit for the users. This website only serves as an introduction to isochronic tones, to let a person experience whether it is effective or not in bringing about benefits for your mind and body. If you will notice beneficial changes to yourself when using these isochronic tones, then you may try the products which are created and designed for different conditions and states that you may need.

Only a single frequency at a time will be targeted in the examples that will be posted here. Don't try to mix different frequencies at the same time as we don't know what effect it will have to the brain. As you may know, the brain works only with one dominant brainwave pattern at a time - beta waves in the waking state, alpha waves in the relaxed state, theta waves in the sleepy state and delta waves in the deep sleep state.

The first project I will introduce to you is to create an isochronic tone which has the waveform you see in the picture below.

Isochronic waveform using square waves

That's the waveform produced using the audacity audio editor. As you can see, tones occur at intervals equal to the length of the tones. In later posts we'll be making isochronic tones with sine waves and some modifications to make it sound a little nicer.

THETA WAVES

What are Theta Waves?

Here lies the seat of deep meditative state. Rhythmic chantings of Buddhists monks allow them to reach theta state where they experience becoming one with the universe. Shamans reach their trance state to heal by the rhythmic beating of the drums. This rhythmic patterns fall within the range of theta waves (4hz-8hz).

Theta waves are observed during extrasensory perceptions, astral projection or any psychic activities.

Super learning can also be achieved in this state. Children especially pre-schoolers easily generate theta waves in their brain when they are engrossed in any activity. Ever wondered why children learn so fast? As children mature, their theta states become less frequent as the beta state become more predominant in their waking hours.

Theta waves occurs before deep sleep (delta waves) and you are actually semi-conscious in this state. Our conscious mind can examine our subconscious mind in this state but has little influence over what transpires. Vivid imagery can be experienced in this state. Have you experienced seeing vivid mental pictures when you are almost asleep? See clear images of people whom you have never seen before?

Addictions can be cured using this brain state. So are reprogramming deep seated beliefs, increasing creativity, super learning and many more things that your mind and body can benefit. It normally occurs before falling asleep and when we are engaged in a repetitive task or things that don't require our conscious attention (leaving that tasks to the automatic response of our subconscious). Driving a car in a long stretch of highway and all you hear is the purr of the engine or the wind creating sounds when it comes in contact with your car can also bring you into this state but very dangerous.

Theta state falls within the alpha state and the delta state. Theta waves lasts only a few minutes before you fall into deep sleep. One can extend the length of time you spend in the theta state and harness the benefits it brings to your mind and body. Meditation is one way but could take a lot of practice. Another way is by using brainwave entrainment techniques such as isochronic tones which your brain can easily move in step in just a few minutes.

Below is a reproduction of a 1 second theta brainwave taken from an EEG(electroencephalograph).

WHAT ARE ISOCHRONIC TONES?

Isochronic comes from two words "iso" meaning equal and "chrono" which relates to time. From that we can gather that isochronic tones are sounds  that occur at intervals equal to the duration of the tone. For example if a guitar string is plucked and is muted after 5 seconds then plucked again after 5 seconds  and is done repeatedly - you'll hear an isochronic tone. You hear the tone for 5 seconds then you hear it again after 5 seconds. Here's a visual representation:

isochronic tones

Think of the wavy pattern as a tone and the horizontal line as the interval. The duration of the tone and the interval are equal. That's an isochronic tone which has been used for brainwave entrainment.

BRAINWAVE ENTRAINMENT

Our brains generate different brainwave frequencies at different levels of consciousness. Brainwave frequencies  during sleep are different from brainwave frequencies occuring while we are fully awake. Using isochronic tones, our brain can be entrained to a specific brainwave frequency in a short period of time harnessing the benefits that the specific brainwave frequency brings.
